Whatever your home style, curtains, blinds or home furnishing needs, we can create beautiful handcrafted products including curtains, blinds, cushions & pelmets to compliment your home.
Thread and Gingers also offer a variety of made to measure Venetian, Roller & Vertical Blinds as well as an extensive range of curtain poles & tracks.
Our services include measuring, making, fitting, delivery & hanging.
We also offer an alterations service.
How We Work
With our free onsite measuring service we can talk through your different window dressing and curtain heading options, as well as curtain pole or track choices. Thread and Gingers can share our experience & expertise to create the ideal solution for any window with a design to compliment your home.
The amount of fabric needed will depend on the type of curtain heading you choose, any pattern repeats and size of your windows. Thread and Gingers can source fabric for you, or you can supply the fabric yourself if you prefer.
Thread and Gingers creates beautifully handcrafted curtains, offering a range of styles from traditional Triple or French Pleats and elegant Goblet Pleats to more contemporary headings like Eyelet and Wave. We also craft Roman Blinds, available on traditional wooden battens or corded aluminium header rails – fully compliant with modern cord safety standards. To complete the look, matching cushions are available upon request.
Linings and interlining will be included in your quotation – we can advise you on your best options for your budget and requirements.
Made to measure Venetian, Roller & Verticle Blinds in a variety of colours & finishes can also be supplied and fitted.
To complete the service we install your curtain poles, tracks or blind header rail and fit your new curtains or blinds.

Thread & Gingers did a fantastic job making the made to measure curtains in our house. I chose two different curtain headings – one pair of ring top to fit a curtain pole and two pairs which are pencil pleat. One large bay window and a tricky bay patio door didn’t cause Janet any problems. She even fitted the curtain tracks without any hesitation! Fab advice too with the fabrics that I was choosing. Very professional from start to finish. The curtains in all rooms look great! A fab job, a very happy customer and would definitely recommend.
